Life
1948 -; b. Northern Ireland; ed. Dalriada School, Ballymoney, and QUB (MA and PhD); taught English in Greece and at Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco; lecturer in English, UUC; publications include The Poetry of Seamus Heaney (1988) and The Art of Brian Friel (1995); edited a volume of critical essays on Seamus Heaney (1993) and others in Contemporary Irish Poetry (1996); also contributions to books and journals on American and Irish writers; Co-ordinator of MA Dip. in Anglo-Irish Literature; senior examiner on GCSE Boards (Northern Ireland); director of Ulster Poets Symposium Series (University of Ulster).
