to London in 1757; found work as actor; Horaces First Satire,
modernised (1762); Poems (London 1767); trans. the Anti-Lucretius
of Cardinal de Polignac (1766);issued Poems (1967); m. 1768;
d. 11 April the year after, reputedly of a broken heart in at death of
