Life
?1780-?1854; The Metropolis, a satire (Dub 1805, 2nd ed. 1805);
The Second Part of the Metropolis (1806, 3 eds.); The Seven
Thieves (1807); The Law Scrutiny, or the Attornies Guide
(1807). As being published anonymously, these satires have been attributed
to other authors including William Norcott, the Rev. R. Frixelle and John
Wilson Croker (attrib. by W. J. Fitzpatrick). Brother of noted surgeon,
Richard Carmichael [no DIB], and author of several religious works. UUC
