at Wexford, 1619; Gerat or Gerald Barry (fl.1624-42), served Spanish
Army at Breda, 1625, writing account of action; colonel in Ireland, 1641,
and outlawed, 1642; issued Military Discipline (1634).
James Barry [Baron Santry] (1603-1673), recorder of Dublin, Prime Sarjeant at Law, 1629; second Baron of Exchequer and knighted, 1634; chairman of convention in Dublin that voted for restoration, 1659; Chief Justice, 1660; created Baron Santry, 1660.
John Milner Barry (1768-1822), ed. Edinburgh, MD 1729; established Cork Fever Hospital; introduced vaccination in Ireland.
