Life
[Sydney Gifford Czira; née Gifford; pseud “John Brennan”]; sis. of Muriel and Grace Gifford, and through the former a sister-in-law of Thomas MacDonagh; as John Brennan contrib. ‘Ought Irishwomen have political equality with men?’ to Bean na hEireann, No. 15 (1909); issued a memoir, The Years Flew By (1974), giving reminiscences and records of the Republican movement in Ireland and America.
