?1728-1802 [Alexander Henry Haliday], s. of Samuel Haliday (1685-1739);
physician and politician in Belfast; saved Belfast from destruction by
‘Hearts of Steel’ rioters - being the Antirm tenantry- and mediated
between then and the militia, 1770; close friend and correspondent of
Earl of Charlemont.
