Arthur MacMorrough Kavanagh
   
Life
1831-1889; b. Borris House, Co. Carlow, which he inherited; ed. at home;
thalidomide-like condition; rode strapped in chair saddle; active sportsman;
painter; and hunter in India, Persia, Russia, where he travelled with
an elder brother and his tutor; m. cousin from Terminfechin, 1853; rebuilt
Borris and Ballyragget, and subsidised railway branch-lines; provided
Catholic chapel for New Ross poorhouse; MP for Wexford, 188-86; Carlow,
1868-80, losing seat to Edmund D. Gray; The Cruise of the RYS Eva
(1865) gives an account of a cruise off Albania; d. Chelsea, 25
