Life
[?]-1846; dg. of Stewart of Lurgan, Co. Armagh; m. William Magee (d.1800),
a Presbyterian minister; left £20,000 inherited from her brothers to build
and endow a college for Irish presbyterians, opened as Magee College,
Derry; in 1865, after prolonged controversy with General Assembly led
by Henry Cooke, and law suit in favour of Trustees. DNB DIB
