Dictionary of National Biography, Peter Pindar, pseud., comm, John Wolcot, 1738-1819, as follows, ‘..issued various satires on George III from 1785, his only efficient opponent being William Gifford, who attacked him severely in Anti-Jacobin; His last work was an Epistle to the Emperor of China (1817), on the occasions of Lord Amherst’s unfortunate embassy. I.e. If Lawler used the name, Wolcot assumed it or resumed it. NOTE, Canning wrote for the Anti-Jacobin.
