Heribert Roseveyde, SJ, who copied manuscripts of saints lives at the end of the 16th c., establishing the tradition of the Bollandists; spurred by ‘robbery’ of the hagiokleptes Dempster, who compiled his Menologium Sanctorum Scottorum claiming Irish saints for Caledonia; appt. Guardian of St. Anthony’s, 1623; inspired John Colgan and Michael Ó Cléirigh, Patrick Fleming (Collectanea Sacra), et al, in their works.
